Baseball Updates:
The Salem Tournament has been cancelled.
There is a change to Monday's schedule. We will not be playing at Waynesville. Instead, we will travel to New Covenant in Springfield for a 3:00 contest versus Ava. This will be varsity only.
We will still play at Plato on Tuesday. We are currently working to secure one more game before districts, if possible.

Softball Update:
Softball districts were supposed to begin today but will now be played on Monday at 1:00 in Mansfield.

Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Benjamin Jenkins' favorite LHS experiences include being with friends and hanging out during lunch. Benjamin plans to attend Millwright Apprenticeship Trade School in Denver, Colorado to pursue becoming a Master Welder.
Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Cadrian Hutsell's favorite high school experiences were the many trips she was able to attend. Cadrian's ten year plan includes graduating college and practicing counseling and music therapy.

Our high school track team turned in some great performances at Bourbon tonight. All results are from running events as wet weather caused field events to be cancelled.
Finley Sullins won both the 100m and 200m races.
The girls 4x100 relay won first.
Boys 4x800 finished 3rd.
JB Huff was 2nd in the 1600m.
The boys 4x200 turned in a season-best time and finished 4th.
Kasey Richards finished 4th in the 800 and 1600.
Cade Richards was 2nd in the 100m.

Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Sierra Warnock graduated at semester, and she plans to go to college and become a teacher in the future.

The junior high track meet at Cuba today has been cancelled.
Tonight's home baseball and softball games have been rained out.
Mrs. Buehlmann says, "The Community Blood Drive will be set up from 12 -5:30 PM in the Junior High Gym for blood donations. All are welcome to come and donate. Donors will receive a free t-shirt!"
LHS Library News
The LHS library had many activities for the month of April to celebrate National School Library Month.
Design a Bookmark: Students designed and created bookmarks with the theme "Reading Takes you Everywhere!" The winning entries will have their bookmark printed and available in the library for the 2022-23 school year. 1st place winning a $25 gift card, Autumn Grover; 2nd place a $7.00 Rinne's gift card, Cameron Frost; 3rd place a $5.00 Rinne's gift card, Levi Venker.
Book Spine Poetry: Students created poems by lining up words on the spines of books to create a poem. We had many fantastic entries!
1st place Brandon Canavan winning a $25 Wal-Mart gift card; 2nd place Jed Norris, $7.00 Rinne's gift card; 3rd place Abby Young, $5.00 Rinne's gift card.
