The Lady Wildcats split their doubleheader in Houston tonight. They fall to Houston and defeat Dixon.

Baseball and Softball Updates: Tonight’s baseball game at Rolla has been rained out. Softball for tonight has been moved to Houston. First pitch at 5:00. We will also play Dixon following the Houston game.

Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Kaleigh Fox's favorite high school memory is Astronomy Night with Connor, Bre, and Landen. Kaleigh's ten-year plan includes "being a trophy wife".

Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Thomas Dorothy's favorite high school experience was going to RTI. Tommy plans to go to college after high school.

Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Monica Dailey's favorite high school teacher is Mr. Ellis. In the future, Monica plans to go to college to earn her LPN, get a job in a residence, and take care of a child. While working and going to surgical tech school, Monica and her future husband will work on their house while off work. She would like to have a farm and five children.

Licking R-VIII School District is proud of our 2022 graduates! Robert Cade Holt Richards says his favorite high school teacher was Mr. Doug Smith. After high school, Cade will be attending college at College of the Ozarks and working toward his goal of being a conservation agent.

Yesterday was Administrative Professionals’ Day, and Licking R-VIII has the cream of the crop! Thank you, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Ginger Smith, Mrs. Jaime Headrick, Mrs. Samie Lewis, Mrs. Brandi Smith, Mrs. Casidy Huff, Mrs. Amanda Reeder, Ms. Erica Jones, and Ms. Carolyn Moncrief!

Both softball and baseball games at home tonight have been rained out. There is no makeup date for either at this time.

GREAT NEWS: THE LICKING BASEBALL ERA OF 1983-1989 will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on May 18 in Springfield. Each former player will receive a plaque with his name engraved as a member of the Hall of Fame and will be introduced by name on stage. Tickets are $50 each in advance and includes the plaque, lunch and printed program. Please contact the Hall of Fame’s Kary Booher at 417-241-1551 or booher@mosportshalloffame.com. The event is open to the public, so parents, families and friends certainly can attend. Below is more information for the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame induction of our 1983-89 baseball program. TCMH will be offering $5 physicals for our athletes on Tuesday, May 3. This is a great opportunity for our students, and the school will provide bus transportation throughout the morning for students to receive their physicals. Physicals are needed for all students in grades 7-12 participating in school-sponsored athletics. There are two documents that are required each year for students. Please read the notes below for more information. * Physicals are good for two years with the appropriate MSHSAA form. There is a list of students who do NOT need a physical for 2022-23 outside of both the high school and athletic offices. Students are strongly encouraged to look at these lists to determine if a physical is necessary. * All students MUST complete a Pre-Participation form even if they do not have to have a physical for next school year. Those can be found in the athletic office or at the following link: https://www.licking.k12.mo.us/browse/196178. * You may also use your own medical provider for physicals. However, physicals must be completed on the official MSHSAA document. That can also be found at https://www.licking.k12.mo.us/browse/196178. * Students will need to have their physical form signed by a parent or guardian as well as their $5 in order to have their physicals that day. * This opportunity is for all current 6-11 graders who will be in 7-12 grades next year. * A valid physical AND a new Pre-Participation Form are required in order to participate in any sport next school year.
