Thank you! You can read more about the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) that makes our no cost breakfast and lunch student meals possible below. PUBLIC RELEASE SY 2024-2025 Community Eligibility Provision The Licking R-8 School District is participating in a Free Breakfast and Lunch Program for the current school year, 2024-2025. This alternative is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). All students enrolled at this school may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge. Studies have shown that children who are not hungry perform better in school. By providing school meals to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students. The school breakfast and lunch that we serve follows U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The Free Breakfast and Lunch Program cannot succeed without your support. 🟠We are so excited to introduce an advisory hour for the 24-25 school year every Wednesday beginning September 4, 2024! Last year, after valuable feedback from Mrs. Green and Mrs. Norris during their student visits, we identified an opportunity to enhance community connections. Over the summer, our administration collaborated with counselors to integrate this advisory time into our schedule. ⚫On Wednesdays, our class periods will be slightly shorter at 48 minutes to accommodate a 44-minute advisory session which will be held after 3rd hour. At the beginning of the school year, we will survey students to ensure they are placed with teachers they resonate with the most. Throughout the year, we will implement Habitudes, The Art of Connecting With Others curriculum, alongside planning a student-led community service project. Students will take the driver's seat and as collaborative teams, will plan and implement their chosen service projects to give back to our extremely generous community in the Spring of 2025. We look forward to fostering stronger community bonds through these initiatives! #wechooselearning #strivingforexcellence #WildcatPride
