4th graders got an opportunity to explore some of the amazing places our town has to offer yesterday. They went to the museum, the Mill, and the Memorial. Fourth graders finished off the day at the Deer Lick Park.

Tomi Rose sets a personal record in her last race as a Wildcat. Her 200m PR run of 27.19 just misses the podium. Congratulations to all of our track athletes for an amazing season! In her first jump in the state meet, Tomi Rose broke the school record in the long jump with a jump of 17 feet zero inches. The previous record was set in 1988 by Robin Spurlock.

Good luck to our athletes who are participating in state track tomorrow in Jefferson City. They will leave from the elementary parking lot at 8:30 with a police escort down College and 137/Main Street. We are proud of Tomi Rose, Winter Murray, Kyra Taylor, and Hannah Medlock and wish them much success tomorrow! The four recently broke the school record in the 4x100 relay. Tomi will also compete in the long jump, 100m, and 200m events.
