Licking R-VIII School District invites all local taxpayers to a Community Meeting on April 21 at 7 PM in the FEMA Gym to discuss the district's use of ARP/ESSER III Funds.


Licking R-VIII School District is seeking two student maintenance assistants to hire for summer cleaning. Applicants must be at least 16 years old by May 19, 2022, and be able to work 40 hours per week from May 23-June 17. (Memorial Day Holiday, Monday, May 30 will be observed.) Individuals with light maintenance experience will be given hiring priority, and applicants must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. Starting pay is $11.15/hour. Wildcat Baseball picks up wins over Cuba and Hermann today to improve to 9-1 on the season. Their next game is at Mtn. Grove on Tuesday.

The Wildcat Quiz Bowl team had their district competition today in Portageville.
Mrs. Beckett says, “Scholar bowl team competed today and played three very close games. Nissa Buchanan scored well enough individually to make the ‘all district’ team.”


The Wildcats defeat Norwood tonight 1-0. They bounce back from their first loss of the season at state-ranked Iberia earlier this week. They are now 7-1 on the season and ranked #6 in Class 3.


Baseball drops a tough game to Iberia tonight 0-7. Next game will be Thursday at Norwood.

Our track team had some strong individual performances at the Marshfield meet last night. Kaida Cook finished first in the discuss and Finley Sullins was 2nd in the long jump. In the mile, JB Huff finished 4th and Kasey Richards finished 8th.
