Both of our varsity basketball teams are in tournaments next week. Below are the brackets for the boys' tournament in St. James and the girls' tournament in Rogersville.
Attention: The District received notification that a scam call has been generated notifying parents that they owe money for students' Chromebooks. The District is looking into the source of this call, and local law enforcement has been notified. Parents are reminded not to share personal information with unknown callers, and we ask parents to contact their child's office if a similar call is received.
Reminder: We will review our Safe Return to In Person Learning Plan this evening at 5 PM in the elementary cafeteria. Community members are invited to attend. A bi-annual review of the plan is required by the federal government.

Our girls JV tournament bracket is below as well as the upcoming streaming schedule.
The Wildcats drop a tough one to Liberty. The Eagles came out red hot and jumped out to an 18 point halftime lead. The Wildcats clawed their way back to get within 5 to begin the 4th quarter. They could get no closer as the two teams traded big basket for big basket. The final score was 82-94.
The JV beat Mountain View-Liberty tonight 73-41. They are now 6-1 on the season.

Next week is Homecoming Week at LHS!! Festivities include the basketball game on Friday vs. Iberia, a dance on Saturday @ Grand Black, and spirit week with dress up days each day. Go Wildcats!!
There will be basketball tonight. Our Wildcats (7-5) will host Mountain View-Liberty (8-6) in the Sherman Hill Field House. JV tips off at 6:00.
Due to weather conditions, tonight’s girls basketball game versus Willow Springs has been cancelled. A makeup date has yet to be determined.
Update for tomorrow night’s girls contest versus Willow Springs… The varsity game will begin at 6:00 followed by two quarters of JV.
The Wildcats (7-5) fall to Class 4 #8 Willow Springs 52-79. Next game will be Friday as Mountain View comes to town.
The JV won their game 72-43.

If you didn’t get the chance to watch the Wildcats or Lady Wildcats over Christmas break, there are several opportunities coming up. The state-ranked girls return to the court Monday at Iberia, and the boys will play their third consecutive state-ranked team as Class 4 #9 Willow Springs comes to town Tuesday.

What a comeback!!! The Lady Wildcats were down 11 points to begin the 4th quarter. A steal and layup with :04 remaining capped an incredible comeback as the Lady Wildcats defeated Class 5 North County 56-54.
The team ends 2021 ranked #4 in Class 3 and a 10-1 record. They play next at Iberia on Monday.
Also, congratulations to senior guard Kylie Taylor for being selected to the all-tournament team.
