Reminder of the 2022-2023 school year calendar!

The first day of fall sports practices are just around the corner. Dates, times, and locations of the first practices are listed below.
All athletes are required by MSHSAA to have current physicals AND pre-participation forms on file. Several students turned those in back in May. Required forms can be downloaded from the athletic department page on our website, if needed. They are also available for pick-up in the athletics office beginning August 1st.
High School practices begin Monday, August 8. Additional practice information and schedules will be shared at practice on this day.
Baseball: 7:00-8:30 in the weight room
HS Cross Country: 9:00-10:30 in the FEMA gym
HS Volleyball: 8:00-10:30 in the high school gym
Junior High practices begin the week of August 15.
JH Cross Country: 3:15-4:30 in the FEMA gym on August 15
JH Volleyball: 3:30 in the FEMA on August 17

The boys basketball team is getting ready to eat some Cracker Barrel after playing 6 games at a team camp in Branson today.
Various news and social media outlets are reporting that MSHSAA is now mandating band students are required to have a completed physical on file for participation. This only applies to students who participate in a school’s marching band, and therefore does NOT apply to Licking students.

Recently, Licking Transportation Director, Mr. Tony Huff, was awarded Total Fleet Excellence recognition by Missouri Highway Patrol at the Missouri Association of Pupil Transportation conference! Special thanks to Mr. Huff and Mr. Ralph Backues for their hard work ensuring safety for all students!

Special THANKS to Licking Boone Creek Baptist Church for providing school supplies for students in grades 7-12 including spiral notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, and highlighters for the 2022-2023 school year! A table will be set up at JH and HS registration to distribute supplies.
Special THANKS to Licking PTO for purchasing school supplies for all K-6 students!! This will include all supplies except backpacks, shoes, tissues, and water bottles. The district will supply disinfecting wipes.

JH Orientation & Registration = Tuesday, August 9, 5-6 PM
(7th Grade will begin with an informational meeting at 5 PM in the JH Gym)
HS Registration & Schedules = Tuesday, August 9, 6-8 PM (HS Gym)
JH & HS students new to the district will register August 10-11 by appointment.
Elementary Open House = August 19, 5:30-7:30 PM
Elementary homeroom teachers will be posted on the front elementary doors August 1st.

Mark your calendars! The golf tournament fundraiser supporting our baseball, basketball, and golf programs will be Saturday, August 20. We are in the early stages of the planning process, but want to put the date out there for those who may be interested.
